“A record 53.6 million metric tons of e-waste was generated globally in 2019. This negative environmental impact can be completely avoided if our e-waste is recycled” According to the UN’s Global E-Waste Monitor 2020.

Green ABLE is a South African Non Profit Company that was officially launched in 2012 and has three main core functions:

Reduce Environmental Impact:

Divert waste from landfills, making a meaningful contribution to saving our environment. Currently, e-waste is collected and is dismantled into their various components for recycling.

Corporate Social Responsibility:

Incubates, educates and empowers previously disadvantaged, unemployed, disabled individuals thereby changing their lives and bridging their skills gap. This is done within a unique sustainable incubation business. The unemployment rate amongst the disabled community in South Africa is estimated to be approximately 99%

Create Waste Circularity:

We are positioned to assist other companies in creating ‘circularity’ with their waste streams, by working with them to design and develop finished products that will have commercial value. We created our own circularity with our industry’s waste, by designing and manufacturing a portable ‘EEZIGO Designed for mobility’ Laptop stand, made from Green OFFICE’s printer cartridge plastic waste.

Our model is one-of-a-kind, in that it benefits the environment whilst promoting job creation and skills development for persons who are mostly affected by unemployment in South Africa. This model also provides BEE benefits to South African companies that support the project.

Workplace Experience + Learnerships / Skills development = Improved accessibility to the job market.
